This one hits home for me! My youngest son was born with Autism and he means the world to me. Although I worry daily that he will not grow up to live life on his own, he continues to teach me the joy of living, compassion for others and so much more. Seeing through his eyes, the world is still new and exciting, full of innoncence and promise.

Giving Back to Those in Need
As a CW39 NEWSFIX KIAH-TV HOUSTON “NewsFix Family”, Billy and Dee Little of Guardian Chimney Sweep were happy to make the Christmas season brighter this year for Joyce Hollis. For Billy and Dee, giving back to the community has always been an important part of their business plan.
For Joyce Hollis this holiday season has been tough. Her only income is a monthly Social Security check and her 83-year-old husband is in the hospital. When she got two electric bills last month, she couldn’t pay them both so she called the NewsFixer. Turns out the problem were with state utility laws, but Joyce was still stuck with an electric bill she couldn’t pay.
Billy and Dee Little are part of the NewsFix family. They saw Joyce’s story and wanted to help her during her time of need. So the Littles wrote Mrs. Hollis a check for $500. Billy and Dee’s act of holiday good cheer will make this season a lot brighter for Joyce, who won’t have to worry about that electric bill and can have a merry Christmas. Way to go Littles! Your act of kindness embodies what the holiday season is all about.
